19 Sanhamn | WIND: NorthEast, Force 5
Lazys TIP! - There is some ship and big boats who keep you awake. On first leg is mostly about wind shifts and avoid the get close to Sandhamn (the biggest island). The gate is same, and wind shift is important un second upwind. Last two legs is about free wind, by good tactic, but watch up for the big boat at start.
21.e Sanhamn | WIND: East, Force 5 | Le Mans Start
Lazys TIP! - LE MANS START = SET SPIN AND GO...!. Don't push boat's to much right here, it will cost you to get less wind and a bad position when the first Mark rounding comes. Best is to keep some left and use the wind shift and not round so near the first mark. Don't forget current on first up wind leg, most sailor is over sailing the mark because of it. The upwind leg is a balance between way and shift, use your head. Avoid to get behind the hi island on the last downwind. Don't forget that wind is always stronger when off shore.
21.w Sanhamn | WIND: West, Force 5 | Le Mans Start
Lazys TIP! - LE MANS START = SET SPIN AND GO...!. Warning..! If you go to fare out to right it's possible to pass outside the border of where current ends. On upwind come a balance between current and wind shift, think smart! Maybe use the different island groups for current protection, but don't forget that wind is dropping behind them. To think about on second down wind to. Concept is "Balance and wind shift" + smart way on last leg.
22.e Sanhamn | WIND: East, Force 5
Lazys TIP! - Wow, 1 st leg start with wind shift and it's very vice to avoid match race situation and be free to make the choice to tack - it will come, and be ware of ship. At end of first leg off shore way gives better wind speed but you will over sail the mark quite much. When comes to downwind it is a lot of balance between islands effect on wind and current, all the way down until rounding the last downwind mark. Don't forget to avoid current protections on last up wind to finish. And don't forget gives some effect on the wind speed
23 Sanhamn | WIND: South, Force 5
Lazys TIP! - Tricky start, a ship is passing..! Some times the current protection helps other time the off shore effect is better. The finish leg - ooh shit, a new ship is coming up, maybe good for the tactic against a competitor, but don't forget where the fast way pointing where you should go.
24 Sanhamn | WIND: South, Force 6 | Made 4 my friend Juno!
Lazys TIP! - The tricky of the tricky race ever made on the Sandhamn map, only added to honor Juno, who is one of the most intelligent player, and a good friend, at VSK. I can't write the book, who will be necessary to explain all difficulties, so I have to give my best advice! Think current, when times pointing to do, think wind speed when it's better, and don't forget to use a good shift. AVOID match race situation, it will KILL YOU. Check ware other boats are in good time before rounding the first mark. Don't forget that current dropping, who give wind shift effects a bit before all the up wind marks.
26 Sanhamn | WIND: South, Force 7
Lazys TIP! - The wind is strong, the current on first mark is stronger. Ship making some trouble. Less waves is quite good, but some times off shore way is fast. Don't forget to think about current on downwind, and the fact that island give some effects on the wind, every where.
27 Sanhamn | WIND: South, Force 6
Lazys TIP! - A short upwind leg against a strong current. Match race situation on port is very bad if you not can decide when to tack, so avoid them. Left gate is safe, the right is less, the round is a mess by it selves. downwind, just about shift and position to next gate. On next upwind leg is a balance between wind shifts and current protection is a good points to think about when the wind shift is better to use then sail for a smart way. Next downwind is about shift and way and position to gate no 3, with a balance of where the current is fast. Last leg, now you have to think smart! - Current protection with less wind, or off shore with more, or maybe to take the shift. Before finish line things gone a happens because of current and wind effect from the island group. It also a "where to tack" question in all he way up. The map is same as one of the Le Mans Start Maps from the first downwind gate and to finish, so use the experience if you have some.
