SANDHAMS SPECIAL WINDS!
The Sandhamn islands is part of the Stockholm archipelago , which together have more than 30 000 islands and islets. All these influence the wind differently. Large islands sucking wind to themselves in sunlight and can create areas with very little wind at side .
Generally blowing it far more offshore, outside Almagrundet , against what it is doing when approaching The Sandhamns island , which in itself places to wind because of its size and height.
Many fear Korsö at middle North in the map, because the wind may suddenly die out in the south of the island, and nobody understands why. Down towards Bullandö in SW wind is usually much less. The different islands affect the wind fresh and on Sandhamns Map fooled island in the middle of because I let it affect the wind as if it were a middle high island there, so think about it ad avoid to get close on leeward side.
The map got 10 races before it was fully developed. All wind maps comes from Race # 10 and up, the previous numbers may have small parts that are different , and I do not remember where .
